HOW TO HAND-SEW | THE WHIP STITCH
The whip stitch is super fast to sew, very neat and makes strong seams. This can be sewn on the right or wrong side of the fabric. In the example above, it is sewn on the right side.
1. Turn under the seam allowance of both edges of the fabric to be joined and place them together.
2. Take the needle up through both pieces of fabric, a very short distance from the folded edge.
Repeat step 2 until you are finished. The thread should look like it is wrapping around the folded edges.
